Emirates CAE - Bell 412 Simulator in Dubai
Had the opportunity last week to spend an hour or two in the brand new Level D 412 sim that Emirates CAE have in Dubai.
Very impressive even down to the dust blowing up when you land in the desert, being able to motor around on the water after doing an auto onto the water. To be honest I never realised that simulators were that good and never realised that when you have autorotated onto the water on floats that when you pull on the rotorbrake you actually get up a pretty good rotation on the water.
Took Paco along for the sim visit so he could give me his feedback on it and he was quite impressed. No doubt he will post his impressions here as well.
