MD500E conversion to a MD530F

Anyone converted an E to an F? Other than going from a C20 to a C30, longer baldes (top and rear) and slightly longer tail boom, what else? I would guess the best time would be at engine TBO. Rough cost? Thank you.

I have heard that only the factory is allowed to do the conversion. I do beleive that a new transmission is also required.

Contact Mike Collins at Macsperf.com and he can fill you in on what is regulatory status, changes required and estimated costs. He has probably managed more 500 conversions outside of MD Helicopters than anyone I know of. You might also consider contacting MD Helicopter directly.
