Onshore, without a JAA FI(H) you are looking at very sporadic positioning flights. Perhaps get lucky with some commercial work this time of year but only with the appropriate type rating, and then convince the operator to line and base you.
Polish your shoes, put on some clean smart clothes and go speak to a few local operators to get your face known and a better idea of what is available in your area.
Realistically, more expense on the horizon.

Or, depending on how your relationship is with the local operator, pay for the base/line (can be done on the same trip as the LPC) after seeing what sort of work they may have. If you can do enough to recoup the base/line then it's a bonus.
If you can fine a few operators with (IIRC) an interline agreement, one base/line check covers them both.
