North England Police Heli
Hi all
Looking for info on police heli ops in north England - where, rosters, pay, stability, direct or otherwise employed, flying, pursuit policy etc. Plus, how police shake up will affect possible employment?
Understand that info may be delicate so please feel free to PM.
Me - rotary and plank (presently latter), police (there's lovely in the valleys) and HEMS experience. Thinking of move back to rotary but looking for info. Just so you get an idea that I'm qual'd, non-journo and kosher.
Regards
G

If you have previous HEMS and Police experience why not contact people you have worked for or with in the past.
Agree with Bertie why do you need to know about pursuit policy? Normal ASU pursuit policy if the crew say go then you go.

I have to agree with both of you actually. I've just re-read my post and I'd probably get a small amber caption!! As you say, prob best to have a chat to contacts known at the units.
Cheers

PS When I mentioned pursuit policy, it was only because I'd heard that some forces "don't" - again, best I talk to folks concerned.

Pursuit policy is under constant review, it is not that unreasonable a question seeing as the frustration of seeing a stoppable car taking the p*ss shortens your lifespan....
