AS355NP Assessment
Hi guys,
Has anyone done an assessment/comparison on the AS355NP.
At first glance, it seems that this version puts the 355 model on par with some larger machines with regards to performance figures but without an increase in the MTOW is still limited in its ability to carry sufficient fuel for IFR operations. It certainly seems to have at least the semblence of CAT.A performance now though.....
As usual the Eurocopter Technical Data manual is full of praise all of which occurs at the lowest possible empty weight and standard atmosphere.
I would be interested in hearing what someone else says about the NP.
Cheers

looks like it's a clever ploy to convince 355N guys that it's a huge improvement in perf whereas it looks like all it entails is an increase in aircraft's usl capability.

I myself will be interested to see the enhancements but the Eurocopter guff is all we have to go on at present.
I have asked for information from Marignane - you may want to give Australian Aerospace a call and see what they have to say?

Thanks guys...
I have to admit, I was wondering if anyone had seen the info as yet due to the lack of responses so eloquently pointed out by my little friend SMOFW.
I was asked by manangement to do an assessment on this aircraft but as there seems to be no industry experience as yet, the info is a little 'polished'.
P.S Hello D. Thanks for your post. As usual, you give me a chuckle even though I really do think your a bit of a knob ........ I wish everyone else knew what SMOFW really stood for.
Cheers
