Cycles vs hours on 250-c20
Hi!
I'm curious about if there is a difference between the number of cycles and hours until overhaul for the 250-c20 when it's installed in different helicopters?
Since the engines are different versions derated to different power-outputs in the B206, MD500 & S333, does that make any difference in TTOH and max cycles?
I'm interested in the cycles/hour if they are to run out simultaneously on an engine.
Cheers!

I donīt knowif there is difference depending on installation but on the 206 you have different cycle limits on stage 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 gas generator turbine wheels.
If memory serves me, the hr limit on st 1 & 2 is 1750 hrs or 3000 cycles so if you have more than about 2 starts for every hour of flying youīre gonna run out of cycles before you run out of hrs.
Thatīs why it can sometimes be a good idea to leave the engine running during ground stops provided precautions are taken.
