Rotoway Kit Helos
Anyone know much about the Rotoway kit helos - the ones currently being built on 'A Chopper is Born' on Sky.
1) Are they as easy to build as made out in the program and any known issues with them?
2) I take they are flown in the Uk under PFA? Day/VFR Only?
3) What would be situation if placed on N Register and flown on a FAA Licence rather than placing it on G and flying on JAA?
4) Any personal experiences.
Thanks,
Julian.

The Rotorway operate on a CAA permit rather than under the PFA. The CAA oversee the build and the renewals.
As for operating in the UK on he N reg. This is non starter. As it would be certified as experimental you need CAA permission and they will not give it. They would only allow it to visit the UK for a short time. Normally a month.
