Eight dead as Swiss helicopters crash
ZURICH (Reuters) - Eight people were killed and three injured when two helicopters carrying sightseers collided over western Switzerland on Tuesday, police said.
Police in the mountainous canton of Valais said the two Air Glaciers helicopters had collided in mid-air and crashed onto a football field near the town of Beuson.
A spokesman said one Swiss pilot had died and added that other victims were Indians, but he would not give more details until their families had been informed. He said police were recovering the bodies and psychologists were caring for the survivors.
Air Glaciers said an investigation was under way and gave no more details.
