Post William Hague Flies the Flag (US)

Brought this over from the Rumours and News board as it should be of some interest to Rotorheads.

Anyone have any thoughts on the legality side of it.

Thumbs up

Is it legal to fly public transport in the UK in a N registered aircraft??

Seems a little strange that everyone spends thousands on getting a CAA/JAA licence and the Conservative Party leader flys about the UK in a foreign registered aircraft.

I would be more than happy if we only had to get one licence to fly worldwide.

The problem is the owners of these aircraft are being asked to provide the machine FOC therefore it is not P/T ? or so they think!
I recently got asked by one of my owners to fly a Member!!! and after I went through the planning and told him the trip would take 3 days and nearly 10 hours flying. his reply was they can sod of I'll put a couple of quid in the collection box, let them find another sucker. It appears they find them.
