Singles/ Twins
Headsethair: "I just wish some of this unwarranted prejudice about singles would get real."
There is an unjustified downer against singles in some quarters BUT it is not helped by certain singles operators consistently bending the specified area rule in London in order to get useable shots. The ENG R44 is a great piece of kit - but NOT in London.

Location and Lenses
Come on Rattle - of course the capability of the camera/lens combo will affect where you can (or want to) position yourself to get effective pictures. If you can't accept that you're letting your enthusiasm for your role distort your thinking. No offence meant.

Buncefield
Brilliant Stuff: Credit where credit's due please...
The definitive BBC Buncefield material was shot from their contracted AS355. I know, I had to get out of bed to do it!

R44's.... How close do you need to be? a two bladed system thumping the air during a moments silence overhead Stormont at George Bests funeral was heard by all........
........and then 6 weeks on (unless it was due to a well choreographed whale), im at a loss to see how an R44 can achieve the shots that it did by remaining over the Thames and/or not upsetting the rescue?...
I guess its by the same trick that can make a non-floated, single engined aircraft with Reporter on board, filming the aftermath of the London bombings from around the Rotherhithe area look....

I'll bet this cat fight looks highly amusing to sensible people. "El Viejo" - just days ago someone accused G-PIXX of "farting around off the heli routes" and couldn't prove the false allegation. Mainly because it would be hard to do said farting without a methane trail appearing on several radar screens. So -
"bending the rules" : please be succinct, clear and correct in the definition of what you mean. Which rules and how have they been bent ? Your allegation mmust be founded on some facts, surely ?
We're all waiting......me particularly because I spend a large portion of my working life in said helicopter and it's always been flying to "straight" rules when I've been there.
Do you seriously think anyone flying in the London CTR, squawking their position and height, flying to an NSF, talking to controllers, and being constantly "cleared" can in anyway bend rules ?
(I am tempted to wonder if El Viejo with 3 posts and a recent sign-up is indeed my buddy Helibelly who flounced out of the forum last week with a toga between his knees ? And would further welcome "Rushes" who signed up on the same day as Old ......bit quiet in Redhill is it ?)

Not sure what you mean about redhill but I was on Albert Bridge on Saturday - I saw what I saw and I know what I know - so don't be cute.
