Angry Heli Crash in Welsh Mountains - 11/09

Heard a rumour of helicopter accident at/near Caernarvon N.Wales, apparently two survivors according to 2nd hand report from BBC Wales TV news 11/09.

Only news references refer to fatal aeroplane crash in Black Mountains same day, no connection.

Hope rumour is just that and hope all OK.

From "Flyer" web page at www.flyer.co.uk:

Two crashes: one dead

The pilot of a Jodel died early yesterday evening when his aircraft crashed into the hillside in the Black Mountain region of Wales. Although it's not yet confirmed, the police believe - and all the indications are - that the pilot was flying on his own. A passing backpacker found the wreckage and raised the alarm.

Earlier in the day a helicopter with two on board had made a forced landing in Snowdonia. The aircraft landed near a television transmitter, and the occupants were able to walk down the mountainside to an ambulance alerted by the pilot's Mayday call

Thumbs down

Jet Ranger from the S. East got into difficulties near Caernarfon and hit the hillside. 2 on board both injured. Cab a write off.
