Arrow Another Air Ambulance Accident!

Just heard that the Essex Air Ambulance was brought down following a wire strike, said all the crew were OK. Any more news to follow up?

All I have heard is that the BO 105 used by the Essex Air Ambulance clipped some overhead power cables on final approach and made an emergency landing without causing any major damage to the aircraft. There was a small fire but caused by sparks from the electricity cables, not due to anything from the aircraft.

On the subject of emergency helicopter accidents, does anyone know the initial findings of what caused a South Wales Police helicopter to come down in the roof of a house ? Made lots of press coverage at the time but have heard nothing since.

Special 25,

If you are the true owner of that callsign then you ought to be already aware.

Oh, alright then, you might not be flying that type....extra checks have been recently advised for the tail rotor spider, if that helps.
