Triman,
The ultimate helmet must belong to Judge Dread, or maybe Captain America (does he even wear a helmet?)
What do you need a helmet for?

The leather ear covers are the advanced ANR...no batteries needed! I was thinking, the ultimate helmet must be the one the pilot wore in Airwolf.

Ohhhh! C'mon you guys!
The best helmet so far has got to be Darth Vader's style of helmet.
May the force be with you all!

- ANR
- Built-in visor. I read the specs and it said it can withstand a wind blast of at least Mach 6.
- Comes in a variety of colours - Black
- If you are having a "bad head day", it will mask it beautifully
- Neck protection. This feature can also double as keeping those space chills from the back of your neck
- Because it stands a bit higher on the head, it can make you look "bigger" in some areas
May the force be with you all!

Wearing a helmet wont stop you getting your head hit by rotor blades, but will provide some form of attenuation of the impact! At the same time, wearing a helmet will increase your overall height and increase the likelihood of a blade strike. Your peripheral vision, particularly in the vertical plane, will be restricted so you will be even less aware of where the rotor blades are.
I would suggest that you should make better use of the defensive devices that you already have - your eyes in this case - and stop walking under rotor discs until you have ascertained that it is safe to do so!!
I've allready been hit in the head with a rotor blade and wouldn't like to take up the opportunity again.

Followed the link, wasn't impressed and wont be going back. As for the interesting link, it wasn't worth the effort.
I would say "have a nice day" but I wouldn't mean it!!
