Who's looking for S76's?
G'day all,. .. .Anyone out there know who is looking for a couple of S76's in Friday's Australian? Has it got anything to do with some large moves that are rumoured in the industry? (just heard a few things in my travels, but still not sure if people were serious!). .. .Thanks. .. .MPT

Yeah, OK Mr Hone, but only because you asked nicely.. .. .This is actually fact I believe. Mr Weymouth has divested himself of his interest in the mustering side of HeliMuster at VRD in the Territory (I think to John Armstrong, but don't quote me) and has relinquished control of the Hamilton Is. and Mascot parts of his empire to the Sweeney/Curry-Kenny consortium. The Bankstown operation will continue as before I believe, but you never know. I guess we all knew that John would have to retire eventually and this seems to point to sooner rather than later.. .. .The rumour part concerns the possible sale of one of the companies based on Bundora Pde. at Moorabbin. But which of the three you ask? Watch this space as they say in the classics!! Then again, some companies have apparently been on their last legs and about to go broke for as long as I've been in aviation and still seem to continue to operate (and expand in some cases). .. .Wish getting a job was as easy as picking up information!! Anyone in the market currently feel free to drop me an email.. .. .Still no answer re the S76's, though.. .. .Cheers,. .. .MPT
