Can anyone enlighten me?
A little bird in the adjacent LFA tells me that the AAC have recently been blessed with a whole heap of wonga to replace the Lynx with an all singing and dancing aircraft.
That's the good news.
It's going to be based upon an export model of the Lynx, Super Lynx? Full glass cockpit new engines etc.
Is that the bad news???
As a former Lynx pilot it sounds like it could be the 'mutts nuts'.

Those awfully nice people from Westlands came to see us and wax lyrical about their new super lynx. After singing the praises of the multi colour, multi function all singing and dancing cockpit display someone asked which button should be pressed to turn the whole thing NVG compatible. The reply was a thundering silence broken only by the embarrassed shuffling of feet. It would also appear that amongst the accountants, design specialists, PR Gurus, aerodynamics experts and other very clever persons on the design team there sre a total of Zero Lynx Pilots. Ho Hum.
