Brintel-Bond Merger?
According to our local paper, since CHC is now the parent Company of HSG, it seems as if Bond and Brintel will become one Company though trading under a new name (anybody got any ideas?)
It has stated that no pilot jobs are likely to be lost, but admin and ground staff could be affected.
Bristow is reputed to have lost 30% of its work to Bond but according to our local paper, Bond are not taking on any significant numbers of pilots for their new work. This intended merger could explain why.

Interesting times ahead for those on the North Sea.
Those without the local paper, it looks as though www.justpilots.com has got the latest info.

A new name/image??!! Surely not!! For Brintel this may be an important factor, but who has been picking up the contracts recently? If the new merged company is to do well in the future, with the support of the oil companies, it will surely have to work under the auspises of Bond, and the Bond image. People who have worked for Brintel/CHC in the past want nothing further to do with the CHC management style!!!!!

Merger of Equals???
a meeting of reps from interested parties with the CHC manager dealing with the Bond/Brintel merger was supposed to happen over the weekend.
the larger pilot group's rep was denied access by his present(defunct) management.
feedback from meeting is that new man has already in mind his management team. Given that he has not yet met any of the larger pilot group, what price equality?
Which part has been the more succesful over the past several years?
