Liberty Helicopters NYC

I am Visiting New York around New Year and have booked a flight on Liberty Helicopters. I was wondering if any of their drivers use Pprune ? If so what times do you recommend to fly and at which location?

Thanks

Im not one of their drivers but all i can say is thanks guys!

After my first ever flight in one of their heli's in 2002 i was hooked. As soon as i got home i started my PPLH and now im on my way to becoming a CFII.

Best way i could ever dreamed of to have my first helicopter experiance.

Take your Camera and enjoy! What Views!!!!

All their a/c are pretty nice EC130's and AS350's. My 2 cents worth is that the pilots fly long hours (both flight and duty), so maybe consider not taking a flight right at the end of the day/night - everyone is pretty tired. If interested in a sunset tour, check local sunset times. Liberty tends to close around 9pm local, but it varies a little on the time of year.

Might recommend one of their medium-longer tours for best value. The short tour just runs from W30th down the hudson to the Statue and back, pretty quick.

As a helicopter lover, why not also walk the 100yds to the other part of W30th St heliport and get your hair washed up against the fence watching the S76's, 430's and other aircraft as they land 30 ft in front of you spraying seawater at you

Have a good time.

I'm not a pilot but I flew with them this summer. We took off from the 38th pier or somewhere close to that i cant remember the exact number. Anyway, it was a mazing. I think we went aound 3:30 in the afternoon in July and it was beautiful. Saw the statue, Jersey and the financial district. My first flight in a helicopter and I loved every minute of it. Unfortunately it wasn't long enough! We had a nice young pilot. I wanted to ask so many questions but when hes not telling about the sights he is talking to someone on his radio. Very quiet and smooth ride. Would love to do it again but my wallet doesn't agree! I hope you enjoy.
