Bristow in Nigeria

I have several friends working for Bristow in Nigeria. They say that it is really warming up there, politically. In fact a few hostages were taken. Can anyone elaborate on this for me? Is Bristow considering a pullout from the area?

Hi,
Bristow did once 'suspend' operations in Nigeria, but that was during the Biafran war in 1966, and only suspended operations during part of the war.
So, it'll take quite a change to have a shift in policy.
Of course, the company then was run by totally aviation people ie. former pilots and engineers who gave a damn, and dare I say it....personalities.
So, to answer your question, I cannot see Bristow pulling out for many years, unless of course the present leadership of accountants and shareholders decide otherwise.
I'm sure you'll get more information from 'old and present Nigerian hands'.
