Back to the topic. CNN has a lot to answer for....
Another useful tip I have acquired (and subsequently used...) from those more experienced, is to only use the pilots windshield heat to allow any freezing rain and ice to show on the cojoes side. It also means that you stay warm and he cools....
Use of Rotorbrakes on iced roadsides should be avoided, for obvious reasons.
And as mentioned previously, the wipers on the 76 are excellent indicators of the onset/buildup of ice on the machine.
