ATPL Bridging exam/s
Can anyone tell me what ATPL written exam/s need to be taken for CPL(H) if you already have a CPL(A). My ATPL(A) writtens were finished March 03, is the 3 year limit still in place?
I have looked on the CAA web site, unfortunately, I don't speak the dialect of chinese that it's written in.
Thanks in advance
Johnny

I'm in the process of doing the opposite. (ATPL/H to A).
Only a couple of schools have been approved to do the course. As per normal the CAA were no use, when contacted.
Your best bet is to give Bristol ground school, or GTS in Bournemouth a bell. They can both get approval to do the course.
At present I'm having to do 4 exams. P of F(A), Perf, Ops Proc, and a composite bridging paper.
My guess is you'd only have to do P of F(H) and a Composite bridging paper.

Thanks mate, I've just mailed Bristol. The only problem I can see is I finished the ATPL writtens in Mar 03, any idea whether the 3 year rule applies? knowing the CAA, it probably does.

I did the one additional paper which is Helicopter P of F in order to upgrade ATPL(A) theory to ATPL(H).
You can do this so long as you have taken the exam by Mar 06.
I had to speak to the head of ground examinations to get this answer.
If you let it go by the 3 years you will have to do the bridging papers which would obviously suck!!
Revise the Bristol Feedback and you'll have no problems.
Good Luck

Thanks for your replies, hopefully I can get away with just doing the one PofF exam. Does anyone know if I finish the one extra exam, would I have to do the skills test by Mar 06 aswell?
