Exclamation PAY up in the North Sea!

Not quite yet anyway!.

Well Bristow Aircrew, what's your latest news, views, thoughts on how to deal with your proposed pay review? I've seen some of the proposals and believe that the 'Bosses' have visited the bases to show the way ahead with regards to what the Company makes (After Director bonus deductions, shareholders dividends and generous share allocations, creative accounting through use of mirrors & wires etc..) and therefore how much they can afford to give you. One could not help but note last week that Shell & BP posted a quarterly £5 billion profit earning. They (the Oil companies) should be encouraged to get their chequebooks ready. Show a united front by front & back seat crews on both sides of the tarmac, engineers feel free to join the party. For you Bristow brethren, beware of promises of future reviews & improvements. If you believe that then get your KY ready! The following extract from a recent ‘well handled’ redundancy case involving 5 more ‘senior’ employee’s is included below. I believe it refers to someone very close to the heart of this present review and should perhaps cause alarm bells to sound.

Extracted from Rotor and Wing, April 2001:
The tribunal also found that the company's head of flight operations, European business unit, demonstrated "a considerable degree of inflexibility and was, in our view, indicative of his attitude, an attitude which was all too apparent when he gave evidence at the tribunal hearing where he did not create a favourable impression.....
He was stubborn and arrogant and uncooperative to the point of being obstructive. We formed the view.....that he did indeed have a 'closed mind', and this rendered any consultation with him meaningless."

NRDK

The person you refer to doesn't hold the purse strings. He has to answer to those higher at Redhill and over the 'oggin.

There is another more senior to him who has to be watched very carefully!

Why not watch them all while we are at it?
How are they providing the money needed to catch up with the much cited fix wing world when these gals and guys are pulling further away again!!! this payround. It's now or never so be united.
