Question HLS Listings

I am after a list of Helicopter Landing sites for Victoria, Australia. I have searched every where without any success. Would anyone know where i can get my hands of a copy of such a list. Also Apparently there is a new HLS located at Yarra Glen on the North side of the Shopping Centre.
Regards John

Look up in the ERSA. The HLS's are listed. Most start with "YX..". Most are hospital HLS's.

I did have a look through ERSA but was unable to find them. Under what section would they be listed please? They used to list them several years ago but i haven't seen them for a long time. True most of them are hospitals but there are a lot of other sites around especially in the North East of victoria listed on forestry maps and near light houses also. If anyone knows where i can get a list, i would greatfully appreciate it.
Thanks John

While you can find HLS in a hit and miss fashion through encode/decode sections, there is no information regarding the HLS. For example, location, operator, contact numbers, approach and departure information, HLS diagram.

When I operated in Europe we had access to a number of publications that contained pretty much the same information as is contained in the FAC section of ERSA.

Do we need a better representation in ERSA. I am not suggesting expensive site surveys but surely the safety of helicopter operations would be enhanced if there was nore information published on each HLS. (Perhaps contributed by the operator of the HLS?)

ersa entries

Daedal,
I have been told.....

the more detailed entries are generally public use pads. the same level of information is generally available for the PPR pads but it isn't made public excepted to those approved to use the pads.
This applies to YX pads in particular.

Don't just rock up and use someone's pad without approval. you may be removing the helo by truck and be charged with tresspass.

I realise you have to get the owners permission to use any helipad as you would if you were landing on private property. The main reason i am after this info is to design scenery for FS2004 and i would like to make them as detailed as possible including size, surface, location, altitude etc. we flight simmers like to fly in as real a world as possible down to the finest detail. There is not much in the way of scenery for aussie simmers as there is for those in the US for example Australian scenery is sadly lacking behind its american counterparts in the way of detail. Even the Manufacturers of the software are mainly based in the US and concentrate on scenery from their own area. What scenery is available in australia is for fixed wing flyers and not for swing wing flyers. So if anyone can help please let me know.
Thanks John
