Hi guys,
Though not new to pprune I'm definitely a rotorheads virgin! I've just started on my PPL(H) and solo'd two weeks ago (R22B) @14 hours
It's fantastic - I never knew what I was missing on fixed wing!
I'm planning to start my ATPL(A) in Aug, but how easy would it be to convert this to heli's once it's done? Also do any of you know if you can instruct heli's with just a CPL, or do you need a full ATPL??
Excuse my ignorance, you'll have to bear with me while I get up to speed..

Hi Pinky. I got my PPL(A) a couple of years ago, then went for a trial helicopter lesson just for something different, and got completely hooked, so I know exactly what you mean. I just got my PPL(H)a couple of weeks ago, and have been checking out requirements for the CPL which is in a state of change right now due to JAR. IF I've understood it right, you now have to get a CPL, then do an instructors course. I can't remember the details of numbers of hours involved etc, but I do have the details somewhere and can look it up for you if no-one else gives you an answer.
