Not on the Job !!!

Aside from Flight Intl. and good old word of mouth , do any of you rotorheads out there in Pruneland have any ideas for sourcing pilot jobs here in the UK ?

I currently freelance in West Wales and now know why its the Green Green Grass of Home - cos it's always bleedin raining ! - which makes it just about impossible to make a living in the dark winter months. This not a moan or woe is me story , I'm just looking for other approaches to the problem. I'm sure there plenty of other pilots out there with similar experience and dealing with the same problems --- So , any ideas ?????

P.S. I'm an ATPL(H)/FI.with 6800 hrs if anyone is looking.

Not on the Job

Flungdung ......

Thanks for the response , but if I am doing something wrong I don't know what the hell it is. As I said before I have ATPL(H)/F.I. both CAA and FAA , 6800 hrs (most of which is turbine) and have flown in the USA , Africa and all over the UK. I have offshore time in the GOM and N. Sea , bush flying in Africa and loads of low level time . What more do employers want ???
I'm not ex-military and only have about 250 hrs twin time - so maybe thats it.
I have applied to all the folks you metioned ( except CHC + Gulfair ) but haven't even got an interview.

As I said before this is not a moan or a woe is me post , I just want to ply my trade and make a living in my home country and thought I might get some useful advice .

Apologies to the guys who posted positive replies - you know who you are and thanks.

I know a bloke who wants to set up an AOC and needs a good chief pilot with lots of experience to help him get the AOC.. The pilot who helps him setup will then get all the nice AOC jobs and a share of the profit. Only problem is they are using Robinsons but I'm sure you won't really mind that..

All the hard work you put in to get the AOC off the ground is sure to pay off...

Oops sorry you've just done that for the last few years...

Sorry for the p**s take mate could not help myself.
Glad to see your looking for a proper job that will be worthy of your skill and experience.

Hey Tiger,

CHC will look at you with your experience. Maybe have a chat to Bob Denning at CHC Africa - nice guy.
Alternatively ask dunc for his list.

All the best
