Post I was wondering...

I know I should be posting this in the Wannabe forum, but I figure you guys'd know.

In the U.S., what are prereqs to start learning to be a heli pilot? My friend is training in a Cessna, but I'd prefer to fly helis. I have thousands of simulator hours, courtesy of Microsoft Flight Sim, lol.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thnx

Lots, and Lots of $$$$. Checkout www.faa.gov . .The section you would be interested in is PART 61 Licensing and Certification. It gives a breakdown of hours (minimum needed), knowledge areas, age, and other qualifying factor requirements.
