I most sincerely hope that the Martin Mars are still about and if so, they get support for a long time to come. I hope they're still operating next time we visit Sproat Lake...

Cheers,

I'm with PT6ER, that's the best PPRUNE headline I've ever seen.

G'day All,

Yeah, supposed to have been announced "at the end of September", but I haven't heard anything yet (nobody crowing or crying in other words). Certainly doesn't give any of the tenderers a whole lot of time to get organised leaving the awarding of contracts this late. Will give the tree a shake and see what I can find out.

Cheers,

MPT

From what I have been told, nothing's changed. All the same locations and contractors, except for one Heliserv (Melbourne call) Firebird has gone to another existing operator.

John - Dont count on it. A little birdy told me that Heli Harvest wont have their Mil-8s back there this year, instead the contract has gone to Coulson with an S-61 and 2 x 212s.

Dont take this as fact but thats what I have been told.

And also heard that HTS have taken over from the bright orange machines in Vic but politics may try and overturn that.

To those that said that money issues have stopped Wildcat sending their 212s down, you are wrong on that front, all four helos are on the water bound for OZ according to info received last week.

Cheers

Ned

Ned,

I was referring to the Victorian DSE contracts. I'm aware of the Federal stuff, didn't think it relevant to the enquiry; HTS may only be NSW, not Victoria, btw

Wildcat have joined with Heli Aust havent they. I see one of TB's BK117 's has joined with Parks for the season.

I hear also for you CRM enthusiasts that RFS are running a course as is Rob rich. Maybe with this weather the emphasis should be on HUET
