Arrow Capricorn Accident

Just heard, the AS 350 has had a tail rotor strike on a Island off Rocky. Apparently they were in a hover letting off the crewman(hover exit) when the incident occured. A replacement is on the way from Darwin. The squirrel sustained substantial damage and is on a barge heading back to Rocky. The crew is ok.

Question

Is this the same operation that lost the 407 last year?

Capricorn still supply the crewmen, but as I understand it, Jayrow Helicopters from Moorabbin supply the pilots and helicopters.

I don't think it's a case of being 'tooo good' to have a bad day, it's just that they.... or should I say "that" operation in particular has had a few bad days of late...? more so than most EMS operations/operators. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Does anyone have details on the 407 accident? I heard the driver was ex-military as was the driver in the fatal. I've not seen anything on the 407 in the crash comics??????????????? Just interested in any lessons learnt. Tar.

Talking

Hey, settle down there.......No insinuations going anywhere from this end at least. I wouldn't poke poop at you unless I knew you and even then without offence. I am sure I don't know you so I'll wait until we're introduced. ;-)

I don't have any vested interest in this organisation, just an understanding that if it can happen to someone else....there's one more reason to sharpen my own game, reflecting on my own limitations.
