A pearl of wisdom from one of my colleagues (who is very fixed wing biased)when recounting a story of a modification that was carried out on the Queens flight HS125s. .. ."Before we could return the aircraft to service, a special sniffer dog was flown up on a Queens flight jet up to check the modified aircraft for explosives. On one occasion due to unavailabilty of a 125, the dog was flown up by a Wessex. Unfortunately the ordeal of flying by helicopter ensured the shaking S*&t scared dog couldn't find his own tail never mind a trace of explosive (they always used a test piece).". .The next bit is his quote, 'If a stupid F^%&*n dog whose job is looking for dangerous explosives thinks helicopters are unsafe, how far up the evolutionary scale does that put helicopter pilots???' . .. .Any suitable put-downs against 'plank' fliers would be appreciated!!!!

HAHAHAHA!. .. .This tells me that fixed wing pilots and bomb sniffing dogs must be at the same step of the scale, all to afraid of flying.......... .. .I once had a silly dog like this, now its barking at the gods. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

Nice story, don't let the facts get in the way. Most Wessie are quite comfortable to fly, and the Q'sF cabs were even smoother than the average junglie.
