Question New??? pilots in ABZ

Rumours abound that 10 new pilots have turned up in ABZ from across the pond!! Is this correct?

I've heard of two so far.

But......under JAR they can only be validated for max. of 1 year. After that........most likely full written exams etc. Plus throw in the whole immegration issue. Rumour has it, one was kicked out of the country after only 2 days. Anyone care to confirm this !? Could get interesting.
BTW, anything firm on JIGSAW ?

I see in the BALPA magazine today that CHC Scotia ( is that Bond? ) are addressing the pilot recruitment/ retention problem with a pay rise for the captains. Will that be enough to negate the requirement for Americans.Surely they'll need to attract more FO's than skippers ( the old and bold are already trapped by children, schools and the fact they can't afford a property anywhere south of Dundee )Wouldn't the pay rise be better directed to the other end of the pilot spectrum, or do they still have that old draw full of CV's
