Handling agent and PPR in GB

I just heard from a guy who flew into England last week that nowadays you are only welcome if your flight is managed by a handling agent and if you have PPR (of cause for safety reasons...)

Any comments???

Spunk,

1) The larger airfields (often where there is commercial airliner movements) require that you use handling. Small ones will not.

2) PPR is required in most places, however this can just be a phone call before you set off and, in many cases, just a call on the radio before you start your approach.

3) If you are coming in from abroad then you will need to clear customs. Some larger airfields will have these on site, others will require some notice.

Just check the AIP, all the info is there.
There have been very few changes to procedures in the last few weeks except the odd bit of closed airspace around the centre of London.
