Every helicopter certified under FAR/JAR Part 29 must have a Cat A approval (although they could be operated under Cat B, sometimes). All helos above 20,000 lbs or that carry more than 9 pax must have a Cat A procedure and certification.

B412: yes, FAA CAT A. UK CAA CAT A exists for the SP/HP, but I have a feeling there may still be a couple of issues in limbo down at the CAA for the -EP. If you need more info on UK Cat A status for the -EP, PM me and I'll try to find out: especially now you've got me curious....
