Goodwood Revival Heli Hop accom required

Looking for a hotel (preferably with HLS) that's a convenient distance from Goodwood.
Late notice has meant that all hotels within crawling distance have gone!
Have booked hotel on Worthing Seafront as an emergency backup (park at Shoreham) but looking for something a bit more comfortable!
Suggestions welcome

Have you tried West Stoke House? PM me for their number!

Also, try Avisford Park Hotel at Slindon.

Thanks but they're both booked - best bet is something further afield but unfamiliar with hotels in area.
Chances will improve the further away I guess.

Just had a brainwave - will try IOW!! Surely the water will keep the petrolheads away...................

EESDL

I've got these two in my database but never landed there or spoken to them.

Bailiffscourt Hotel (8nm ESEish)

http://www.hshotels.co.uk/bailiffs/b...court-main.htm

Or the Spreadeagle (7nm Northish)

http://www.hshotels.co.uk/spread/spreadeagle-main.htm

As far as I know you can land at either.

VNE,

The Spreadeagle is right in the middle of Midhurst. (Multimap satellite photo).

I'd be very surprised/impressed* (*delete where applicable) if you could land there.

Regards,

B73 - Vne can land anywhere, I've seen him in action

EESDL - If you want somewhere on the IoW have you tried Priory Bay. You can definitely land there and is pretty nice. Even have an outdoor pool (but never warm enough when I have been there!)

What a coincidence, just got off the 'phone from Priory Bay, all sorted, thanks for your suggestions (all fully booked though).

What sort of landing fees are Goodwood charging for the Revival.
Are they going to charge the same as for the FoS despite not laying on any extra car services ?

EESDL,

If I'd have read this post sooner, I'd have offered you my spare room. Might have even picked you up from EGKA!!

Have a good weekend!

The Talbot Hotel in Ripley, just off the A3 1 mile south of the M25 and five miles north of Guildford. It has a small helipad suitable for Cat A and is an old coaching inn. It's comfortable and not too pricey and the beer and food are good. Contact by phone to book and ensure the helipad is available. 01483 225188. web site

http://www.talbothotel.net/index.htm

Fairoaks and Redhill are nearby and both sell jet and avgas. Redhill is the cheaper and en route.

Hope that helps.
