Low time drivers

Is there any hope for the fresh pilot these days. Just spoke to a young guy today who payed for his CPL out of his own pocket, and did it over 3 yrs. He cant get a start with all these guys getting massive student loans and just clocking up hours instructing etc.

and no i'm not talking about myself.

Are you talking about Australia ??? I didn't think going instructing straight up in Australia was really an option ??

I thought the most common 2 options were mustering and tourism work. And in either of these 2 cases I don't think how you paid for your license is an issue.

In both cases I think life experience and the willingness to travel to, stay, and work in remote areas is what seperates the men from the boys.

or you can rock on down to recruiting, go back to school and join the ADF. Lots of new machines on the way with ++++ above the award $$$$$
