JAA Class 1 Mecical cost - help needed

I seem to remember the cost of a JAA Class 1 medical is reduced if you hold a foreign aviation medical. I saw this on the CAA website a few months ago but I cant find it on there anymore.

Can anyone help me find it?

Hi

I cant help directly with your question but why not give them a call and ask direct?

This is a handy page:
http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?ca...=90&pageid=527

Thanks, I have looked for hours on that bloody website and all I can find is the standard list of charges. I have tried calling the CAA and all I get is those poxy menus, then put on hold/ansaphone, I am in the USA so it's proving rather expensive and frustrating.

There is a problem with the CAA IVR system into medical at present (it hangs you up [terminates your call] when they answer).

Perhaps they will fix it one day..

Whirlygig says it's now £337 according to a recent thread called JAR theory.

£337 is the std UK cost. The Q is "..is there a different price for a foreign medical, coverting to CAA"?

Fair cop. Having failed to read the question the first time I'll try and make amends. Heres a decision tree and heres the Schedule of Fees. So if you've a non JAA ICAO medical and license you're spared the Chest X-Ray, saving £44 from the £337.
