Freelance Observer
I am considering setting up as a freelance observer, hiring my services out to private pilots or corporate organizations to assist with navigating, mapreading, radios, powerline inspection etc.. I have several thousand hours piloting various types of helicopters and hold a lapsed UK PPL(H) and a Canadian CPL(H) with endorsements for Gazelle, Bell 47, Bell 206 and R22. Also ex-Army QHI.
Do you think that there would be a market for this type of adventure? I am not really interested in piloting any more due to old age (eyes and ears ya know ).

We still haven't forgotten you, Ken! As with other people, we can use one, but we don't know when! Good luck with - I'm sure you'll get something
