The Warm and Fuzzy Air Dog

Got an e-mail a while ago...reports the new method of remoting company flight following radio traffic to a central base in Louisana. The management ran a test from about Noon to shortly after 4PM...had no problems....immediately informed the on-duty Ops person....to surrender her keys....in that she was now redundant. Thank you very much for your loyal service....and don't come in tomorrow.

Don't you just love the warm and fuzzy way of dealing with people?

Now, just what if....should there be a technical problem with the remote transmitters.....and the aircraft cannot make position calls to the central base....but the remotes can be switched back to local operation....who is going to record the calls and monitor the situation? Call old Bubba in from fuelling an aircraft or something...here Bubba sit down and write down what you hear from the radio. No Bubba...don't use that red crayon...use the Biro Bubba....uh, bubba...there is no such thing as a capital two...
