I'm looking for CAA CAP 421 Basic Flying Instructor (Helicopter) Handbook, the copy I have been given is from 1979! Does anyone know where I can get a new one and whats it's called? Also any other recommended reading for starting the Instructor Course?

I suspect that if you get an answer, it will be along the lines that since JAR FCL has changed the syllabus, CAP 421 is out of date. Of course, much of it remains valid and it has not been superceded by a shiny JAR FCL replacement, but anyway .......

CAP 421 was the CAA Helicopter Instructor Guide. Now defunct under JAA.
This is an excellent book though

CAA CAP 421 Basic Flying Instructor (Helicopter) Handbook
'DFTCH' sent a PM to 'Hangar3' about it, so I guess they might be good contacts to get in touch with.
Of any interest?

I have that info in a PDF (all sections) if anyone else needs a copy - thanks anyway!!
It's one of the docs that I'm studying at the moment, along with refreshing my memory from the CPL course notes. I've been advised to take a look through the CAP by another instructor...
