MD 900 down

A MD 900 rescue helicopter chrashed today on the airport Hannover. 4 persons on board injured, 1 serious.
The first suspicion is, the pilot wasn't able to control the ship in strong and gusty wind (> 30kt)

add-on:

Pilot confirmed control problems with strong wind from the right side, taking off from a movable landing spot.

My sources suggest it has something to do with the skids and the trolley it was operating to/from.

I've landed right next to that spot lots of times, when the wind is up and from the SW it tends to whip up around the buildings infront of the helispots and can get very turbulent. I heard he may have slid a little on the platform and got the rear left part of the skid caught up in the platform wheel which protrudes up a bit.

And if that's true, where have we heard that kind of thing before? B47 in Australia perhaps?

@tbc

you're right. There are witnesses now, reporting a clear dynamic rollover, after hooking the left skid into the trolley in strong wind.
