AH incidents

Apparently AH had an interesting week in the Torres Strait recently.

Reports are it started with their jet ranger suffering an engine problem out at sea which resulted in a quick landing at a conveniently close island.

The following day one of their longrangers had a rope? come out of the boot and foul the tail rotors. Pilot did an excellent job of autoing down to a beach with what has been described as a severe vibration which nearly shook T/R gearbox off it's mountings!! Tail boom etc were sent down south for inspection/repairs.

Apparently there are some photographs doing the rounds showing the longranger returning home to Horn Island slung underneath the 412, reportedly the G/A apron at Horn was bristling with cameras when both customs machines returned home, one piggy backing the other.

I have heard this 3rd hand, are the details correct and does anyone have some photo's of the sling job to post?
