Ok......so a reasonabley new jock wants to apply and he has only 500 hrs. lets say hes got 100+ hrs for his commercial which is mostly dual, they want 400 multi with 250 command etc etc

And tax free depending on experience!!....oh come on!..so the copilot is taxed and the captian is not!...id like to see that!

makes this position for a 500hr pilot rather difficult doesnt it!...unless you have HB hours!!

so really its aimed at the experienced end of the market and to keep the gromets from bothering to apply.

ok ive got a layover in Sydney for a couple of days on a charter and just got back from dinner[excellent pub meal by the way, inner city ssy PM for details!] with a collegue and thought id have a dig!...that will be another double waiter!!

cheers BT

Full ATPL(H) with 500TT....hmmmm methinks this has to be a typo.

They also only accept JAA/EASA.

Good luck to all

I think they missed a 1 before the 500!

Be great if you could be a captain of a Dauphin and have an ATPL(H) with 500hrs, but I think that's a definate typo.

hughey,

The advert is for CHC and there's a typo as mentioned. You need minimum 1500 TT.

For the flying in Africa (for the 365 this is Nigeria, Cameroon, and Sudan) any ICAO license is acceptable.

The advert is also badly worded with regard to the salary. It's paid tax-free no matter what your experience (if you have a tax liability where you chose to reside that's your problem, but the salary is paid to your bank without any tax deducted). It's a miniumum of CAD 62,000, but if you have more than the minimum experience, they'll pay you proportionally more.

They're genuinely short at present so if you have close to the qualifications mentioned you may well be considered.

I don't work for CHC

Hope that helps,

ag
