TyneCastle....

Me thinks you need to get out of the bottle you are swimming in....the new management shall never approach the style of the old management. The old days when the Old Man himself ran it are gone unfortunately.....it is all about the quarterly report, share price, and management bonuses.....in reverse order of priorities I am afraid.

The hired staff are pure annoyances that muddle up the financial aspects of business.....I am afraid those rose tinted glasses are giving you a false hope me old son.

SASless is quite right.

You have to forget about the past and think about what's happening now and in the future (more so). I have no doubt that like any aircraft operator the way of working/thinking , strategy
and management will all get changed over time to keep pace
with shareholders demands and the profit/loss curve.

This will apply to any operator.

Are Talisman going for new technology aircraft ?? was new technology offered , but more to the point are they prepared to pay for it ? probably not ......

Its all down to £££ shillings and pence at the end of the day and the level of service that the client accepts , it has to be juggled to keep profits up and win or keep the contracts , and hopefully keep people (us) employed.

If you look at the oether threads in the other sections about operators its a similar story.

SASless,
What do you mean swimming in the bottle, I was floating gently, not a good swimmer.
You're right offcourse, read it on Sunday morning and thought, **** did I write that, maybe Heliport and Pedalstop could come up with something so that there is a 12 hr delay when you hit submit on the weekends.
Seriously though, the Bristow situation could be turned around, and with all the rumours coming out of the North Sea, now would be the time to do it, if the new boy is good and gets the right people around him , who knows what might happen, seen it happen with another company who were mis-managed for years.
One of the problems thay had in the past was that they had good people, but were in the wrong positions.
A Bristow was unique, but I wonder how he would get on nowadays in the Boardroom with his style of management, he wasn't a diplomat was he?
