Tiltrotors in UK
Does anyone have any news on the introduction of civil tiltrotors either in the UK or US. I would like to look at possible charter in the very near future. If anyone does have any news please let me know.

Tony,
Depends on your definition of Very Near. The only tilt rotor on the horizon for civil cert is the BA-609, of which their web site says:
"Certification on the BA609 is expected in 2007".
Considering the technical hurdles, that is probably an energetic (but achievable) date.

The perfectly capable chappies at EASA will have the honour of certifying the BA-609
What chance of the UK CAA certificating a tiltrotor I wonder?
