Question Filbert Shaking?

Just wondering has anyone heard of "Filbert Shaking" as i just read something about it from a company over in the states.

This is just a shot in the dark until someone who knows the answer comes along ......

Filberts are what hazelnuts are called in some American states. The North Western states, I think.
As they're small nuts, I assume manual harvesting is very labour intensive.
Perhaps helicopters are used to blow them to the ground?



It seems feasible - but could be completely wrong of course.

If the rotor blades are not properly balanced and tracked, it tends to shake ones filberts, n'est-pas?

Its a round about way of describing shaking nuts.

An office chick of ours went up on a track and balance once, the flibb dibblers did a lot of shaking too!
