212 down in BC

Apparently Cambell sent a 212 for a swim during fire op's this week in BC.
Pilot got out OK, after the tailrotor was flared into the drink.

Any further info or more accurated details. I think I saw this aircraft passing through Whitecourt while I was there. Was the pilot the Vietnamese chap?

Hey Steve if you hear anymore info, would you pass it on to me.

Been rather busy selling the ranch, and prepping for the move back downunder.

It didn't crash there, (look at the trees, no rotor damage !!) it was upside down in 20' of water, a Kamov 32 dragged it to the shoreline.
