Oz EMS helo fundraiser flyin.

Congratulation to the crew at Lifesaver base in Wollongong for their efforts today. The fly in saw an interesting mix of civil and military helicopters attend, some of which are privately owned.

On display were various types including Jetranger, BK117, Squirrel, Bell 47,R44 and Seahawk. More machines would have attended but the Wx was very rough in a strong Westerly flow which precluded a number of Robbo's and the Navy Historic Flight Huey with Defence parachute display. The unplanned "how to manage a chip light " provided additional entertainment and helo attendance.

Ground displays from most of the agencies with a rescue capability including Police, Fire, Ambulance and SES that generated a good public attendance and no adverse comments.Bushfire Brigade staff used the day for familiarisation and practice in a less rushed environment.

Local radio station attended and plugged the day with much vigour! Helo joy flights did a roaring trade with many requests from early in the day.

Good one Dexta and Uncle Keith. Bigger and better next year.
