Sydney Heli Ride?

Good afternoon Ppruners,

One of my sons and his pal are about three months from the end of their Gap year in Oz, before they return to the UK I would like to arrange for them to have a Helicopter flight over the city and the college at which they are working/staying.

If any of you Oz pilots down there can help me perhaps you would be good enough to contact me or leave some details and I will contact you,

PS, two people, both biggish lads approx 15 stone each?

My Regards

Peter R-B

Where abouts exactly is the college as there are operators at Bankstown, western part of Sydney, at Mascot Airport, southern area of Sydney and at Gosford/Newcastle area which is north of Sydney.

Location would be a good help to the guys.

Hi Ned

The College is St Ignatius , Riverview , Tambourine Bay their land or plot runs right down to the waters edge, and they have plenty of land with clear access, I was rather hoping they would be able to be picked up there and landed back there, any help will be welcome as you may appreciate, I am trying to arrange this with no knowlege of how the area lies.

Vfrpilotpb,

1] you need to get permission off the school, i know the school grounds reasonably well and the only suitable place would be the football oval.

2] generally speaking if its in school hours forget about it, however i once saw the premier of NSW [previous premier] land near the oval to watch his son play footy.

3] the operator has to be happy with it, also my reccomendation would be sydney helicopters down there they would be your closest. P.M me and i can send you their details if you wish.

Bellytank - David Gemmel should be pretty accomodating.

Peter,

Sydney Helicopters, , tell David Gemmel we sent you! He's based at Rosehill Racecourse, near Parramatta, and has a few turbines available
