Helicopter Associations

I'm interested in hearing about the different Helicopter Associations that are out there.
like HAI and AOPA.

Are you a member of one?
If so which one?
Why did you become a member, and what are the benefits?

I have been looking into becoming for involved in the Industry but I wanted to hear from you guys what you have to say about it.

All comments are welcome.
Thanks

I'm a member of PHPA, Professional Helicopter Pilots Association. I belonged to AOPA once, but I didn't like some of their positions, so I let my membership lapse. PHPA is definitely worthwhile if you're a pilot. PHPA website

Liked NASA advice...

Basic Flying Rules:

1. Try to stay in the middle of the air.
2. Do not go near the edges of it.
3. The edges of the air can be recognized by the
appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and
interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly
there.
