Pilot Shot In P.N.G

Just heard on the 6 oclock that a pilot was shot in Mount Hagen, it was reported that the pilot flew from Cairns.

He was getting some money out of the ATM when approached by the killers, he gave them $20 and when he refused to give them more one of the armed robbers shot him in the chest.

Im not sure who the pilot was but im sure some of you have contacts in PNG. my condolences go to his family in this shocking crime. God bless

I just saw the late news which confirmed the murder.

The report also failed to clarify if he was a rotorhead or otherwise.

It stated his name, but unfortunately I did'nt catch it.

This murder is on the eve of Australia sending 200 police [at the request of the PNG Government] to help control the escalating violence in PNG.

A while back the Jungle Bunnies only had spears to wave at you, now they have AK47's.

Great.

Is this a case of "Familarity breeds Contempt" at work here?

Poor choice of words for this forum however.

It is a very violent society there if their history is correct. Tribal wars....head taking....and other acts that fall beyond the Laws of Land Warfare.
