NSW POLICE BK117 vs BELL 430
Are you fishing for P.F.L.( the $6million Man), who took the first BK for a swim and enjoyed it so much he took the AS355 for a dip soon after?

Hmmmmm.......
I really like you young fella's. Always asking advise and always quick to acknowledge the experience and know how of your peers.
Don't let any one say that you are just tourist pilots....... its just not fair on the one or two of you who will make it in the industry later on down the track.
As usual I will try to give you the most appropriate information for the questions asked (without compromising my responsibilities of course.... )
The BK in question has a sliding door that can be used for SAR and the dropping of articles or the rappelling of personell. The funny little 430 that you compare it too does not.
The BK in question has a faster VNE than the toy in your shed (VNE as quoted by D.B in prior love letters)
The BK in question has better endurance
Has greater T/R clearence as required for a true working machine
The BK is just plainly built better....... the list goes on......Why do I bother....... talk to me when you have done 55 winches in a row.
Love you all
P.S when Gary askes "are you pitching or rolling?" He's usually asking the Co-pilot not the ship........

with a few years on BK's (8) in Police op's, I feel more than happy
that the NSW gov. has made the right choice.
When it come down to bang for your buck ( sorry Wheels Mag ) you can't go past it.
The only problem I found is that it didn't have the legs for a few jobs but in NSW I don't think that will as big an issue.

Having flown the previous NSW Polair 117, I can safely say that it was a marvellous machine for the task.
Space, pace, but not much grace, as it lacked CSAS. But an overall winner - same footprint as a 206 but everything was 2 1/2 times bigger - whatever the Jet Banger did in pounds, the 117 did in kilos.
Hey, Bell 430 Guru, interesting profile you have:
"Biography: compulsive masturbator.
Interests: wanking"
Very impressive credentials, I must say.
