I fly for premiair and earn less than 37,000. My package was the best starting salary amongst the competitors that I spoke to. Of course I would like more, but you can only earn what is on offer. Starting salaries are not as big as people are suggesting on this thread. That said, you can always go further afield if you are unhappy........

TC - Is your pension just as good once you've knocked thirty percent off for retiring at 60? (and are the CAA going to reimburse the difference)

Hey TC

I hear that you think you are an expert in every field on this board - well judging by the number of posts you probably are.

But would I be correct in saying that you only respond when you are on duty and have access to your employer's internet facilities?And having said that, one might deduce that you dont' have much to do!

If you were employed by my local police authority I would have to ask for the pilots' pay structure and whether the Chief Constable considered that the number of pilots employed provided "best value".

Better go and set up some more speed cameras - we need more money to pay the pilots!
